Laura is a writer, editor, and photographer based in New York. She was most recently the senior editorial director at TripSavvy, a top 10 U.S. travel site as ranked by Comscore.

Laura’s writing expertise spans numerous topics, ranging from travel and food and drink to reported pieces covering political and human rights issues. She has previously worked at Architectural Digest, Bloomberg News, and Condé Nast Traveler.

Descending from a family of photographers, Laura is also a talented photographer and loves using both words and images to tell a story.

Additionally, she's worked on strategy and branded content for companies such as Microsoft, Jameson Black Barrel, Dewar's, Kimpton Hotels & Resorts, Bordeaux Wines, Santa Monica Travel & Tourism, and more. 

Originally from Texas, Laura moved to New York City in 2010 to pursue a Masters degree from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. She also holds a Bachelors degree in journalism from Southern Methodist University, where she studied human rights and photography. 

Laura lives in downtown Brooklyn with her husband, Ryan, and their beloved dogs, Kate and Prudence.
